Unable to make outgoing calls(SOLVED)
« on: September 24, 2017, 08:14:37 pm »
Hello Peppermint people. This is a new problem that has just recently started to show itself. I normally make phone calls using Skype or Google Hangouts. This method has worked fine for me since I first set it up. I haven't made any phone calls in a while until today, and now no one can here me, either on Skype or Hangouts. I might mention that the video part works good. So I'm stumped on what could have happened. An update perhaps? I can hear whom ever I'm trying to talk to, they just can't hear me.  Any ideas on what's going on and how to fix it?

Try resetting pulseaudio:
Code: [Select]
mv -v ~/.config/pulse ~/.config/pulse-old && pulseaudio -k
pulseaudio should respawn automagically and the ~/.config/pulse directory get recreated.

Hi PCNetSpec, okay, that seems to have done the trick, both Skype and Hangouts are working again. I'll have to make a snapshot with Timeshift and never delete it. Thanks so much  :)
