Yeah, when I first tried it after changing the Chromium cache settings it wasn't doing that but then I noticed it was doing it in Opera. Then I tried your suggestion about the Flash players and tested it again in Chromium, and had to REISUB.

It's when I go fullscreen while playing a video in YouTube, but not every video. I also tried Vimeo and managed to watch a fullscreen video without a problem.

which web browser are you using ?

Is youtube using the HTML5 player ?

Maybe try using a browser plugin to switch youtube to the flashplayer instead.

I've got Firefox, Chromium and Opera (stable) installed. Firefox is the only one that doesn't have this problem.

I think it's the HTML5 player because I don't see any of the usual Flash stuff when I right-click.

That would probably work because flash videos never seem to be a problem.

Forcing YouTube onto flash does fix it. It seems strange to me because it's Google who's in charge of both Chrome and YouTube. Why can't they make HTML5 work properly in their browser?

Hey half the Google web API's don't work well in Chrome (leaking memory like a sieve) .. go figure eh :))

Bit sad when flashplayer has to come to the rescue :o
