Title Bar Buttons <SOLVED>
« on: July 12, 2017, 09:40:58 am »
I have searched as best I can to find how to change the Title bar button size but can not find it, I can resize the text change the font but not the button size, virtually impossible to see them. The screen resolution is 3200x1800 and touch screen. the button targets are about 2mm in size.
Can anybody give some direction?

You'd need to edit the "actual" button (and possibly window border/titlebar) graphics in the xfwm4 part of the theme itself.

They'll likely be in
/usr/share/themes/<your theme name>/xfwm4

Or you could possibly try installing an xfwm4 theme specifically designed for HiDPI

Appreciate your quick reply, I'm willing to try , but must admit not having a lot of experience in performing this. Is there somewhere I could get a step by step on how to go about this? A former Ubuntu 16 user so I don't mind crashing through some stuff to get it done, I find Peppermint to be the most stable after trying several other Distro's
I found the files, do I go through terminal and edit a page somehow,
You mentioned HiDPI, but I'm not sure if that is what is running, I tried to change  the scaling in  ''AR and R'' it's  shown as eDPI does this make any difference, are they the same thing?

Thanks

No, what I meant was you'll have to edit the button graphics and the graphics that make up the titlebar with something like the GIMP .. and resize them.

Or

you could just go to:-

menu > Preferences > Peppermint Control Center > Window Manager (tab)

and select either:-

Theme: Default-hdpi

or

Theme: Default-xhdpi

Both of which are xfwm4 window manager themes designed specifically for high resolutions.

Okay worked , the only option of the two you mentioned was Default-xhdpi, the other is not in the drop down list.
I will mark this as solved.

Thank You for the help
