Need help with Arduino install (SOLVED)
« on: July 06, 2017, 05:00:18 pm »
Need to extract Arduino file to usr/local so it can talk to the com ports (Arduino program will run from desktop but won't connect to ports)
I get a "permission denied" message
The filename is arduino-1.8.3-linux32.tar.xz

Run:
Code: [Select]
gksudo nemo /usr/local
copy the arduino-1.8.3-linux32.tar.xz file into the file manager window that just opened .. then right-click it and select "Extract Here".
