Tagging PDF files
« on: June 27, 2017, 03:39:53 am »
HI Guys

Hope this doesn't come across as a lame question, but does anyone know of a way I can tag PDF files and use these tags for search purposes in the same way I can use tags to search for photos in Shotwell

Recently I digitized all my business documents and got rid of mountains of paperwork and now I can actually find stuff the exercise was so successful I decided to do the same thing at home so no more drawers and boxes full of documents I'll probably never need or be able to find even if I needed them but feel I need to keep anyway,

I have around 5000 photos in my Shotwell Library every photo has various tags assigned to them and I can find any photos simply by searching for tags it would be nice if I could do the same with my PDF files

Many thanks

Graeme

Maybe tagspaces (?)

Spot on Mark I actually discovered it shortly after posting, it's exactly what I'm looking for absolutely brilliant piece of software,

Why the hell is this not in the repos ?
