I'm running ff 54 on a test machine with Peppermint 8 and it does "feel" a bit faster.  It certainly loads faster than previous versions.  Of course, this is subjective, which is to say, I've not performed any "scientific" tests.  I do think it is an improvement.  But, hey, YMMV.    ;)

Now we just have to wait for Canonical to "test" it and put it in their repositories.  ::)

(yes, I know there are other avenues)

To be honest I've been getting a bit disillusioned with Firefox lately I can't tell you the number of embedded video on various sites that it wont play yet Chromium plays them without complaint.

Update:  Having checked any offending addons (including Ubuntu's own) and checked that multiprocess support is actually working - I have to say it is noticeably quicker :)

It opens quicker - tabs open quicker and it generally feels quicker all round.
