Arch Linux 2017.05.01 Is Available for Download, Powered by Linux Kernel 4.10.13

Quote
Today being the first day of May and all that, Arch Linux users will be glad to hear that a new ISO snapshot of their beloved GNU/Linux distribution is now available for download.

That's right, we're talking about Arch Linux 2017.05.01, which hit the streets earlier today incorporating all the security and software updates that were pushed to the stable repositories of the operating system during the entire month of April 2017. Also, the new ISO image is powered by the latest Linux 4.10.13 kernel.

BTW, I'm running the 'linux-signed-hwe-edge' kernel on all my Peppermint 7 machines, 32-bit and 64-bit.

Working great on all of them.

This is the repo:  https://goo.gl/wEOw2P

Please read and heed the warning, in the PPA description !

Don't attempt this unless you know what you're doing, and/or you're a Arch Linux visionary.  8)

Better to try Arch on a VM than real hardware.  Last time I tried Arch, installing following their "beginners installation" guide to the letter, I wound up with a system that couldn't be booted.  So, I ended up putting Peppermint 6 back on it and swore off actual Arch.  I'll only try Arch-based distros with installers from this century graphical installers.
