Peppermint 8 New Install
« on: May 31, 2017, 10:26:48 pm »
Hello Peppermint People. Today I upgraded to Peppermint 8. What a breeze that install was! I had a small problem creating symlinks but that was due to forgetting a step, and that was easily fixed. Also, after putting up my desired photo as my desktop, it didn't stick on the next reboot. But after reloading it, it is now stuck, so hurray! I'm getting fairly good at this, only took me two hours from start to finish including installing all my preferred software.  Excellent job you guys! I'm a lifer now!  :)
What was I thinking?

Truth be told VinDSL, I was hooked with my first install of Peppermint 6. I guess I'm just reaffirming that fact now. Ever since I created a DATA partition, it just keeps getting easier and easier.
What was I thinking?

Peppermint 7 is alright but Peppermint 8  seems to be a little better

Great stuff, that was the intention .. PM8 wasn't intended to be radical, more as an "improvement and progression" release where we polished it slightly and implemented some requested features that built on Peppermint 7 strengths rather than attempted to take it in a new direction.

Happy to see people are "getting" that :)
