Thanks :)

Peppermint 8 is very nice. I like that the ctr+alt+t is working and also volume hotkeys was installed.

After installing my Brother printer, I got this message - lpr:command not found.
On P7 it worked out of the box. I had to install cups-bsd and it worked properly.

My fan is a lot more active on P8 compared to P7. The only thing I do not like.

He's the reason I ended up switching from antergos to Peppermint, I love the customizations that I can do within XFCE :D I love the wisker menu and the blurred lockscreen so when I lock my desktop it still shows a blurred image of what I was working on

Thanks, but the problem is solved (my iso download was corrupted, i needed to re-download the iso and i installed yesterday peppermint 8)
I watch 'pluma' (in spanish) is 'editor de textos' (text editor) and the task manager is now more similar to the task manager of XFCE...

That's fantastic  ;).  It's good to know everything is now working for you  ;).   Do you know the default text editor is now Xed?  We've also made life easy for people.  You can open Xed by typing either:
Code: [Select]
xed ~/<file.name>
or
Code: [Select]
pluma ~/<file.name>
and
Code: [Select]
gedit ~/<file.name>
All of these commands will open files using Xed as the text editor  ;).

I am a big Peppermint fan, but i am not liking the new release. For me the first noticeable change is the fonts!  I preferred the font and size in 7, how do i revert back?

That's nice and easy, navigate to:

menu > Favourites > Peppermint Settings Panel > Customize Look and Feel

From there you can select your desired font and size.  If you don't want full hinting, open the Font tab and change the hinting.   To change the, Title font and size, navigate to:

menu > Favourites > Peppermint Settings Panel > Peppermint Control Center

From there you can change the font and size.  We provided the tools to personalise Peppermint 8 to the way you'd like it.  I hope this helps - have fun  ;).

Hi drowzee1872,

Running them side by side in Gnome Boxes - The only change I can see is in the Peppermint Control Center - change the Window Manager theme from "Numix" back to "Peppermint-Dark-7"

and as AndyinMokum stated - you can customise it to your liking :)

The font and size hasn't changed, only the "hinting" .. so as Andy says, change it back to "Slight".
