I'm not sure exactly what you're asking ?

The kernel is more than a single file, and do you mean the "package" or the actual installed kernel ?

Maybe if you could explain precisely what you're attempting to do we may be able to help a little more.

Hi Austcool-Walker, welcome to the Peppermint ForumPeppermint 7 uses the ext4 file system by  default.  It can also use ext3 and ext2.  This is not recommended as they're old and almost obsolete systems.  You can also use the experimental btrfs ("Butter f. s.") file system.

Nintendo Wii uses its own file system.  I don't think it'll be able to recognise or read any of the above file systems.  Good luck  ;).

Edit:  As PCNetSpec says, give us some more information on what you're trying to do.  This way we'll be able to tell you if it's possible  ;).

The WiiBrew (Homebrew) community has these prebuilt bundles for running linux distros in the wii and I'm trying to boot the os from the sdcard.

As far as I know the Wii uses a PowerPC CPU from IBM .. Peppermint only supports x86 CPU's
