Invalid signature detected message on boot.
« on: May 15, 2017, 02:35:07 pm »
I installed peppermint 7 on an alienware alpha that had been running a dual boot windows 10/ steam.  Installation works fine. But when I boot up I get a redbox error message. "Invalid signature detected.  Check secure boot pollicy."  If I press enter the computer continues a normal boot.  How can I change boot settings to correct this ?  Or can I just leave it as is ?

Disable Secureboot in the BIOS

It's detecting an invalid (or non existent) signature for one of the drivers/firmware your system is loading .. this driver won't be loaded with Secureboot enabled.

[EDIT]

According to this:

F2 immediately after turning on the Alpha will get you into the BIOS
