Looking in WattOS install CD for i3wm config files.
« on: April 20, 2017, 06:11:51 pm »
I have never mastered an install CD/DVD and therefore the above issue. I am trying to find the WattOS i3wm config files to compare them to what I have on my Peppermint install, but I haven't been able to find them. Does anyone have any ideas how to scrounge these files without installing a system? I have mounted the CD and dugg around, but there isn't anything that I recognize.

It would also be nice if I could get a list of the default apps in the install , to see if there is anything interesting that I can use. How would I go about that?

Wouldn't this be best asked on the WattOS forum ?

Simply mounting the WattOS LiveCD in Peppermint won't help anyway .. the config files will be contained in the squashfs image.

You'd need to either unpack that or loop mount it.

it would be easier to just boot the WattOS Live session, then dig them out .. and whilst there, copy them to your HDD or a USB stick.

As for a package list .. why not just export one whilst booted into WattOS ?
