From Peppermint 5, can you connect via an ethernet cable, then post the output from these commands run in a terminal:
Code: [Select]
sudo lshw -C network
and
Code: [Select]
lspci -vnn | grep -i net
and
Code: [Select]
lsusb
and
Code: [Select]
rfkill list
Can you also confirm that you're able to browse the internet via an ethernet cable

That will make things slightly more awkward for you, but I'll still need the output from those commands.

Maybe you can run the commands and paste the output into a text file .. then copy it to another PC and post it here.

I take it you've tried simply restarting the router ?

I'm sorry but it's pretty much impossible to lend assistance unless you provide the output from the commands mentioned above.

If you're having difficulty running the commands .. please say so, and we'll try to help :)

my be i solved the problem. I found this way in the net.

type: iwconfig

identify wifi net (normaly wlan0)

set  Bit rate to 11mb: sudo iwconfig wlan0 rate 11M

and save it: sudo sed -i '/^exit 0/i iwconfig wlan0 rate 11M' /etc/rc.local

restart

Bye
