Hi, just when everything was going so well this happened. On shutting Peppermint 7 down which unusually took several minutes (the only thing different that I can think happened), then starting up again today.

I have tried changing screen resolution, changing from X org driver back to NVidea driver, & back again, rebooting in between....which worked a while ago when I had the same problem!! Everything is so small I'm struggling to read easily. Also changed font size to no avail, but was able to enlarge the toolbar & menu. Again help would be appreciated, thank you.

You might want to wait until someone more "au fait" with the nVidia Linux drivers comes along, but this seems like a config issue to me .. I'm fairly sure you're supposed to run nvidia-xconfig or sommat similar, or create a new config file from within the nVidia control center type thingy.

Hi agiyorks,

open Nvidia X Server settings from   Menu > System Tools > Nvidia X Server Settings      or from a terminal
Code: [Select]
sudo nvidia-settings
enter password when prompted and press enter

your Nvidia X Server Settings screen will appear
click on X Server Display Configuration and your 2 monitors should be displayed.  Arrange them how you need them to be and then in bottom right corner select Save to X configuration File  a Save X Configuration window will appear and ensure it says
Code: [Select]
/etc/X11/xorg.conf
please note the Capital X
Click Save (if you opened from the Menu - you will be prompted for your password)
and then click quit and quit again from the pop-up box.

Reboot your machine and then repeat the command PCNetSpec asked you for
Code: [Select]
pluma /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Regards Zeb...

Please can anyone help with this problem. I don't ask lightly , so please accept my apologies for asking again

The font is ridiculously small with either NVidia or X org drivers as I've tried both. I can barely read what I'm writing here & searching on tne net elsewhere is similarly affected.

Thanks in advance for any help

Can we have a screenshot so we can see what's affected ?

I mean are the menu's small, or ALL windows and the panel .. or just some windows, fonts & pointer ?

Thank you for replying again. Hopefully these images show the problem areas. I'm just about going cross-eyed trying to read anything on the net. The bookmarks toolbar is just about half the normal size; search bar shrunk too. My files & PDFs show correctly.

Hi Agiyourks,

Have you applied any theme to Firefox.   If you go into the Firefox setting what Font and Font size within the Browser is it showing.

You can find it under preferences > Content in Firefox

Thank you, Zeb

I had already tried increasing the font size in Firefox to no avail. But.....the other day I 'looked' at the Firefox themes, didn't change anything, just clicked 'cancel'. Just did the same now, clicked 'cancel' & restarted Firefox. I can read again!!!

Why that happened without me changing anything I really don't understand. It wasn't just restarting Firefox as I'd akready tried that many times.

Thank you for reminding me I 'looked', Zeb, I won't be doing that again!
