Advert Block -
« on: February 02, 2017, 11:20:14 pm »
Forum,
As it stands right now. I typically use Ghostery, Ublock and  BitDefender on my Chromium browser
Combined they do a really good job .

My question is though does Advert attempt to replace them as far as what they do? Which is block ads.

-Thank you in advanced.

Hi grafiksinc,

The simple answer is yes - that is what it is for.

If you mean the advert blocker in the Peppermint Settings Panel .. that block adverts via the hosts file, if you already use advert blocking software it's probably best to stick with it as it affords you finer control than ours.

We only included it as a system wide blocker to assist people with easily blocking adverts in ICE SSB's, but it can be a bit like using a sledgehammer to kill a fly.
