How to have Peppermint Logo and Text as Desktop Wallpaper
« on: January 15, 2017, 08:05:43 am »
Hi,
Please find my Desktop Look. It is quite easy. Download the Peppermint Logo Image - just did a google search or get the image below.
Set image as Wallpaper using Desktop Preferences [right click on desktop]. I have used backgroung color : #FFFF4D and Option "Center Unscaled Image on the Monitor"
You can set as wallpaper using nitrogen also. Copy the image to /usr/share/peppermint/wallpapers.  Select in Nitrogen Window, select Centered and Use the give Color.

Thanks,
Harish Pathangay

It's also a screenshot, not a useable wallpaper :-\
(unless someone also wants your panel on their desktop)

As this is in the "resources" board, can you correct that please.

Just upload the file you used for your wallpaper, not the screenshot you took.

It not the title that was the problem .. this board is "Resources", so only for RESOURCES that can be used by others.

It's fine to post a desktop screenshot as long as you also provide the resources to reproduce the look such as the wallpaper, and links to icon themes, cursor themes, and fonts (if they're not default).

As it's on a "Resources" board, it MUST contain resources .. this board is NOT for screenshots without the resources to reproduce.

So please fix your original post by supplying the wallpaper (not a desktop screenshot), or I'll have to remove this topic as stated in the PLEASE READ - Board Rules Concerning Screenshot Posting pinned to the top of this board here:

Okay, after re-reading this (and a nudge by one of our trusted users) I can see I was wrong .. the only resource is included, and an explanation how to achieve your results with the yellow simply as a background colour set in "Wallpapers" (nitrogen).

Many apologies .. my mistake :)

Please do not apologize to me. Do not interpret it as irreverence. I look at things actually other way round.

For the past 3-4 days I am pestering you with lot of questions because of my lack of LQ [Linux Quotient].
I only have to appreciate or revere your patience with me.
It is a very committed, sincere, active and helpful forum I have seen in Linux World.
I am not even a formidable Linux User, just a beginner. getting into very new stuff.

Please Accept my Best Wishes, Regards and Thanks to the Entire Team on behalf of Peppermint New Beginner.
