Taskbar hides Chrome's status bar / download bar
« on: January 06, 2017, 12:53:49 pm »
Hey all,

is there any way how to fix this ? This isn't really a major issue as if it doesn't affect my work in any way but it used to show up and suddenly Chrome's download bar is "hidden" behind the taskbar. I've got another computer. A desktop and everything is okay on that one ? What I tried is to shrink the taskbar to see how it will behave but even when I shrink it to tiny tany little icons I can still barely see that download bar.

What can I do to make it work again on my laptop ?

Hi MarkUK,

Sometimes I find windows just forget where they are supposed to sit on the screen and a window will sit "under" the taskbar.

Temporarily move your taskbar to another screen edge,  make your Chrome window not maximised and then move the taskbar back to where is should be.  Maximise the Chrome window gain and see if this cures your problem.

Assuming I have understood your description correctly.

I've tried your solution several times. Sadly .... didn't help. I don't understand what happened. I went over some Google forums and seems like I'm not the only one. The forum suggests that it's Google's thing to fix.
