Hello! My name is Aaron. I've just switched to Peppermint as my main Linux OS (and main OS in general) after finding out about it through EnglishBob's YouTube channel. I'm loving it a lot and I'm sure it will remain my main OS for a good while. With the switch, I thought it would nice to check out and join the forums.

Hello, Aaron.  Welcome to Peppermint.  Peppermint is the first distribution I share with others when I introduce them to Linux.  Happy to hear you've made us your home/main distro.  It's my family's too.  ;)

Welcome, The PoorGuy,

You have an interesting background which gives you insights into electronics, hardware, and the ordinary person's computer needs that most people do not have.  I'm delighted to read you picked Peppermint as your Linux distribution of choice.  My wife and I have done the same also.  Peppermint is a wonderful little distribution, and I'm happy to see that you're now a part of it.

Welcome to Peppermint!  :)

Hi The PoorGuy, I'm still a big fan of thermionic valve/vacuum tube technology.  I'm looking at the beautiful orange glow coming from a matched pair of 6Ж1П-ЕВ (6J1P-EV) pentodes.  They come from the old Soviet Voskhod, Kaluga factory.  That factory produced some of the best high quality vacuum tubes ever.  Thankfully for us, the USSR over produced them in the millions.  Vintage old new stock is still dirt cheap to buy  ;).  I've them in a little pre-amp I rebuilt for high-res headphones.  They produce a wonderfully warm and rich sound.  Something that transistor technology just can't replicate  ;).
