Hello all :)

My name is Hans, I live in the Netherlands and have been a Linux/BSD user for.... I lost count. Think no graphics (and later) manual configuration of your X server.  I'm always happy to try something new which, in this case, was Peppermint version 6.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Just created an avatar which (hopefully) covers my BSD/Linux/Peppermint split-personality.  :-\

Welcome to Peppermint, Pancho.

As PCNetSpec says, now our "whole family is Peppermint flavoured".  Pancho, you'll soon see what a lively, informative, and fun forum we have here.  I promise you, Peppermint is the best! ;)

Congratulations to you, Pancho.  You're here now, and this makes me very happy. :)

[T]here are a lot of people happily running Peppermint ICE which hasn't been receiving ANY updates for a while now .. and I personally would STILL consider that MUCH more secure than any version of Windows with up-to-date AV/Anti-malware ;)

New member to the forum. However, I've been using Peppermint 6 for sometime.
Probably not as technical as most of you but I can make my way around well enough.
I work in a windows world mainly (data analysis). But decided I wanted to learn linux.
Tried several distro's but keep finding myself back with Peppermint. Just seems to work for me.
At 53 I'm probably just another old fart who gets in the way and likes to play with computers.
Currently using a lenovo t400 that was rescued from the trash and couple of Dell D630's with the same destiny.
Hope to not be a bother and I'll try not to ask to many stupid questions.

Hi tppthpthp and welcome to the forum :)

Hey I'm one of the developers here and I'm 55, no it could be said it's a distro by old farts for old farts :)

And just to be clear, there are no stupid questions here beyond "how to I install Windows" .. or possibly "Is there a spell to become a mermaid that actually works?".
