Ah right, the fix is doing its job then .. the problem is the pause.

I can't reproduce it because the screenlock comes on to quickly for me (maybe because I have an SSD).

maybe changing the lock screen manager to lxlock may speed things up ?

My system also locks the screen BEFORE entering suspend, so there's no pause on resume as it's already locked.

The lxlock does seem to help. I haven't fully tested it yet but it looks better so far.

I'm also using an SSD, a Samsung 850 EVO.

That is faster but I can still get round it by quickly clicking on the menu.

When you go to the peppermint-logout menu and select "Suspend", does the screen lock BEFORE it goes into suspend ?
(so it's already locked on resume)

Not as far as I can tell. It never has before but is it possible it does now with the new version of i3lock?
