You beat me to it  ;D.  I installed it yesterday.  I'm putting it through it's paces.   On first impressions it seems very good.  It apparently has much better M$ compatibility than LibreOffice.   Even though installing it looks very routine.  It ended up being a bit of a performance.  A newbie might find it a real pain to do.   I first tried installing it by adding their repo to the sources list in: /etc/apt/sources.list, and adding the GPG key.  Updated my system and tried installing.  It threw up a bunch of errors and was having none of it..  Plan B, Installed using the .deb option.  It again threw up a bunch of errors, dependency issues and broken packages.  Fixed those easily in Synaptic and it installed fine.  Everything is now running as sweet as nut.  Apart from the installation difficulties, it seems to work beautifully.  Hopefully more people here will give it a whirl  ;).
Backup! Backup! Backup! If you're missing any of these -  you ain't Backed Up!
For my system info please L/click HERE.

Hi Andy,
I ran into that, too.  After running...
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install -f
...it installed fine.  I've just started playing around with it and, as you say, it seems to work beautifully.  We'll see how it does over the next day or two.

cheers guys

Nice touch: When in Document mode clicking on the menu icon or using Alt+f brings up several options....then clicking on Help shows a ton of information....especially nice when just starting out with it.    ;)

A few issues...
    no mirrored margins
    no multi-page display
    no save with password option

On the plus side...

displays recent documents when starting up
    percent indicator with zoom function
    excellent handling of Word documents

Hmmm  mine installed straight from the .deb file no issues?

I guess mileage varies with what is installed on your system already

I was about 10 seconds from downloading when I saw it was online only.  Nope, I'll stay with LibreOffice.  It's a pain sometimes, but it can be used offline.

Ah, I see.  Well, they should say that on their website, rather than calling it an online office suite.  ::)  Edit:  OK, I now realize I didn't scroll down far enough.

Anyway, thanks for the link.  Downloading now.

I think you'll find it interesting, if nothing else.  It's a bit different, takes some getting used to.  Looking at their forum HERE the developers realize it isn't perfect and seem to be open to suggestion.  I think it will improve as time goes by.

Yeah, the interface will take some getting used to as I've never used Microsoft Office.  Just Works and then, when I bought a computer that came with no office software, OpenOffice and LibreOffice.  Though, one thing I do like right off the bat is the ease of having one program, not the seven you get with LibreOffice.  ::)  I tried doing the Abiword thing for a while to avoid LL, but it's too glitchy for me.  I think OnlyOffice may be a good alternative to that "kitchen sink" approach.

Same experience on two computers, smooth installation with no issues.  On one, it installed two dependencies, on the other it installed five.  But, it worked both times.
