Wi-Fi Under LiveCD 7
« on: November 29, 2016, 07:13:25 pm »
The Peppermint 7 LiveCD loads the correct wi-fi broadcom driver on my Acer laptop. If I install, do you think the correct driver will be loaded ONTO the hard disk?

YES .. if it works on the LiveCD, it should work on the installed version .. I don't remember setting the broadcom driver to be removed as part of the installation.

I was only asking b/c on this laptop an Ubuntu LTS to LTS upgrade STOPPED networking and removed the broadcom drivers. Luckily they did provide a procedure to restore networking. This Peppermint may save this Acer. GNOME is too heavy.....

Thanks.
