@Cost, Wow, that's fantasic. I really wanted an Amiga when I was a kid but ended up with a generic PC running DOS.

Did you ever see the attempts by Commodore USA to create an Amiga inspired OS?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodore_OS

It was really over the top but at it's core just a bloated Ubuntu based distro with a ton of eye candy.

Hi Joseph, yes I saw that and it looked quite beautiful, shame that their owner/project died, was very interesting imho to see Amiga alive again

I had a C64 in my teenage days. I used it for playing some fantastic games.

You raised my nostalgia. I'm off to play the last ninja on Peppermint.

I think you have to have lived in Europe .. I don't think the Miggy ever really took off in the US, or at least not like it did over here ???

I owned one...

I owned an Amiga 500 'Fat Agnus' with 1 MB RAM.  It cost me USD $360 to populate a piggyback with USED RAM - new RAM would have been astronomical - double that amount, at least!!!  LoL !  :D

I owned a Commodore SX-64 too, if you know what that was.

They were the sh!z, back in those days - kinda wish I hadn't sold it, actually!

What is "Fat Agnus" ? .. I thought Agnus was part of the OCS/ECS chipsets (replaced by Alice in the AGA chipset)

Maybe it was an American naming thing .. or possibly my memory :-\

Yeah I know what an A500 is (I had 2 of them before moving to an A600 which was VERY quickly swapped for an A1200), just never heard it called a "Fat Agnus" before :)

I always wanted an A4000 but you needed your own oilfield to be able to afford one of those.

Yup, Amigas were always expensive, at least in this part of the world, but they made Commodores look like a toy.

Quite a status symbol, around here.  Gave you instant street creds ...

All I remember is my family couldn't afford an amiga so we ended up with a PC clone running MS-Dos
