I just started install Peppermint version 8 on my below hardware.

I wonder with Peppermint Performance, before i try Fedora 25 LXDE i686 on my mechine but i am upset with have event lag. so i jump to this distro.

My question are :
1. How to make Peppermint 8 can fast in surf the internet (browsing).
2. I think i got slow response when i click on menu libre, how to solve it.
3. Can Peppermint use for development work with my specify mechine?.

I need more detail explain for my question, if any people can answer it, i say thanks a lot of.

You could try disabling IPv6 by right-clicking the connection icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen, then Edit connections, selecting your connection and clicking Edit. In the IPv6 tab set the drop-down menu to Ignore.

It would be even better to set the IPv4 tab to Automatic (DHCP) addresses only, but then you'll need to specify DNS servers below.

1) Can you define "slow internet browsing" ? .. what is slow and when ?

2) It is NOT a good idea to use MenuLibre in Peppermint (or any other LXDE distro) .. there's a VERY good chance it will screw up your menus .. there is no 100% safe GUI menu editor for LXDE.

3) Define "Development work" ? .. if you mean coding, sure any spec machine can be used, if however it includes testing the code, and say that code is a game then you'd need a high spec machine .. so this question is impossible to answer unless you tell us what it's to be used for.
