Peppermint 7 - Using RUFUS to create a LiveUSB in Windows
« on: September 21, 2016, 08:32:46 am »
Peppermint recommend using RUFUS for creating Peppermint 7 LiveUSB's in Windows.

Here's how...

Download the Peppermint ISO image from our main website:
https://peppermintos.com
and save it somewhere you'll be able to find it.

Download RUFUS from here:
https://rufus.akeo.ie/
and fire it up.

1) Select the USB stick.

2) Give the USB stick a label (can be whatever you want).

3) From the drop menu select "ISO Image".

4) Click the button no navigate to the Peppermint 7 ISO image you downloaded earlier
.

Select the Peppermint 7 ISO image, and click the "Open" button.

Click the "Start" button.

You'll now be presented with this screen:-

Select "Write in ISO Image mode (Recommended)", and click "OK".

You'll be presented with a WARNING that everything on the USB stick will be overwritten and destroyed.

As long as you're happy with that, click "OK".

RUFUS will start to create the LiveUSB:-

And will tell you when it's done by displaying "READY":-

That's it, you're done and the Peppermint 7 LiveUSB is ready to use .. just close RUFUS, and boot to the USB stick.
