Internet speed slow
« on: September 16, 2016, 02:11:02 pm »
My Pippermint OS is in the same laptop (Toshiba Satellite M70-164 with  Atheros RTL 8139/810) as Win Vista.
Testing internet speed (cable to modem/router)  in Peppermint I have speeds around 10/20Mb/s but, if I  boot in Vista the speeds are around 90 Mb/s (the site of test is the same, of course )
Why this discrepancy? What to do to have in Pippermint the same speed as I have in Vista?
Thanks in advance

Try finding some network adapter source code and compile a custom driver.
