Bios set up for Linux
« on: August 23, 2016, 06:27:12 am »
Hi there I have got a few old core2duo ps's with UEFI bios the only thing I can get to work is Ubuntu and that takes ages to boot, is there somthing in the Bios that has to be changed, turned off or on so i can load Peppermint.

Thanks

Andy

Nope, Peppermint 7 should be fine with UEFI and Secureboot .. as long as you use the 64bit version.
(UEFI does require disks are set to AHCI in the BIOS but that's probably already done and wouldn't stop a LiveUSB/LiveDVD booting anyway)

Which version of Ubuntu worked ?

How are you creating the LiveUSB / LiveDVD ?
