Favourites and Recently Used removal [SOLVED]
« on: August 05, 2016, 11:04:51 am »
On PM7 is there a way to remove or hide 'Favourites' and 'Recently Used' from the whisker menu?
If so, how is this achieved?
I do miss a minimal menu.. :D

Many thanks again PCNETSpec for the directions.
Now marked as patially solved and it works a treat,  :D

But, Shutdown, Reboot and Log Out menu has disappeared?

When I go to panel preferences>items>action buttons>edit item I can activate the Log Out, Reboot & Shutdown icons but they are greyed out and do nothing..
Also noticed that Menu>Accessories> Shutdown, Reboot and Log Out don't work.

How do I get these back on the whisker drop down menu as they were?

Hi acer,

It's like this: you no longer have a whisker menu after doing what PCNetSpec guided you through. You now have the old Peppermint Six style menu. That's what you requested isn't it?  :-\

Code: [Select]
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Name=Log Out
Comment=Shutdown or Reboot
Icon=system-shutdown-panel
Exec=peppermint-logout
Categories=System;
NoDisplay=false

as per requested

Yeah well, now it shows the logout on the drop down menu after a reboot...weird and seems to be ok now.
I'll mark as solved.

The "Action Buttons" xfce4-panel plugin doesn't work in LXDE .. most other panel plugins do, but not that one so you'll have to use the lo out button from the main menu.

Hi acer,

No problem -- I seem to have cerebral flatus on a regular basis ...  :o :D

Glad to hear you got it (the Log Out button) showing and working.  8)
