Suspend due to inactivity does not work :(
« on: August 05, 2016, 03:07:18 am »
Hi

On my newly installed system peppermintOS 7 I've noticed that I have the same problem as this:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/627356/xubuntu-15-04-cannot-suspend-when-inactive

The machine suspends fine when done from the command line or the shutdown menu or even by closing the lid.

But if I set the inactivity timer to 15 minutes using xfce power manager for suspend.

However, it never suspends because of inactivity.

When I log back in after the failure to suspend, I see this message on the top right: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied: Permission denied

I tested the proposed solution (allow_inactive=>yes )but that did not work.

Any hints?

Thanks in advance,

Michael
