nVIDIA HDMI Audio Driver not working

I am new to linux OS systems . since insstalling peppermint 7 i have no HDMI audio . i checked the nvidia download page but they donot have linux driver. does anybody have a fix or suggestions

Hi aspace. Click on the volume control icon and then Audio mixer.

Click the right arrow to get along to the tab on the extreme right called Configuration.

If you have a dropdown for built-in audio, set it to Off. (or input if you need a mic input, for example).

Set the dropdown for HDMI to something that ends in ...output.

Do you have sound now?

What nvidia GPU are you using?

Most drivers can be installed from the teminal using:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt install nvidia-XXX'xxx' being the driver number (example: 352)

I think the driver names are consistant across platforms so if you can find the driver number but no linux download, use that number in the above code.
