Peppermint Control Center [Broken] (Solved)
« on: June 20, 2016, 02:22:07 am »
Hi, I installed some themes than uninstalled some themes due to some bugs with the theme itself, upon deleting that theme, I noticed when ever I try to open Peppermint Control Center, it does not open at all.

If anyone can help me resolve this issue it will be greatly appreciated.

Open a terminal and run:
Code: [Select]
gedit ~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfwm4.xml
find the line that reads:

    <property name="theme" type="string" value="DELETED THEME NAME"/>

and change it to

    <property name="theme" type="string" value="Peppermix-Dark"/>

SAVE the file and exit gedit.

Now see if the control center works

This is fixed in the Peppermint 7 control center which has a built in fallback theme.

A bit late as I just reinstalled peppermintos 6, I suppose I could have waited until a day later for a response,however I was inpatient, thanks for replying back though if I ever experience this issue again I will be sure to use this post as a reference. On another note I know the peppermint team does not like to give a ETA for the release of PeppermintOS 7 but will we be seeing it this month?
