Personally I'd disable it, then let them get usage stats .. hopefully they'll see it's disabled and think again.

Dumb move Mozilla .. it doesn't need to be there.

Much discussion on the various news.mozilla.org newsgroups last few years revolves around funding and the desperate search to offload Seamonkey and Thunderbird to new homes. I would surmise that Pocket made a substantial quid pro quo donation to Mozilla Foundation in order to gain "embedding".

Not a good 'look' for Firefox though.

I'd have no problem with that if it were 'opt-out' and a simple checkbox in the UI settings.

Heck I wouldn't mind if they included adverts OOTB as long as they were transparent about it and there was an EASY way to opt-out.

It's the lack of transparency surrounding pocket that troubles me .. and not something I expect from Mozilla.

Helpful tip, when one wants to unload an addon from any individual SSB (like I wanted to do with STYLISH... hit the ALT to get the file too bar, then  HELP to get the RESTART WITH ADDONS DISABLED.... then you'll be able to disable or remove the unwanted addon... this has been bugging me for a bit. While I prefer darker backgrounds, I need to find a different way to deploy one.
