Will Peppermint 7 ( Ubuntu 16.04 Kernel ?) Support Atom motherboard and better and improve touch screen performance?
I came to know these features depends on Kernel version is it true?
Hi Rajeev. Which Atom devices do you want to use, and what do you want to do with them? I've done some experiments in this area recently and my main piece of advice would be: if you want to run Linux on an Atom device,
find one with Ubuntu pre-installed on it (they do exist).
The kernel is the deal-breaker with these things and it has to be customised quite a bit. One of the people who's done some of the best work in this area is Linuxium, his website is at
http://www.linuxium.com.au/The rumour is that Intel were persuaded by Microsoft to make the Atoms difficult to use any other operating system than Windows on. I've no way of verifying this (except that the result was exactly that)...
