hi pcnetspec,
i think they are different.
this thread is only about recovering the deleted partition.

the other thread is about installing OS on to the free space, which is not allowed, hence i raised clarification.
i do not intend to recover partitions in this thread. partitions are lost, so be it. but why it is not allowing me to install new os into free space?

i thought these 2 things are different.
