Why do people shoot down success

I really don't get it when a Company is successful....  people then try everything they can to shoot it down.   Deja Vu and Microsoft...

So are we saying that we don't mind their success - just don't force your ideas down our throats ?

Kinda goes against them becoming so big in the first place - if no one used their products - then they would not have grown so big - but now they are we don't like the monster we helped create

Maybe I am just getting cynical in me old age  :-\

Sure, I'm happy to roll with that .. it's generally when large monopolistic companies go public that the focus shifts from customer to shareholder .. we create the conditions for "going public", but we don't create or have to like the crappy behaviour that inevitably comes afterwards.

It's not "doing well" that aggrieves  people .. nearly everyone admires Elon Musk, cept maybe for a few jealous types ;) .. it's when companies (or people) start ignoring the customers who helped them get where they are in the first place.

I read the article. "The curious case of Android." Curious case? Android is good, is the only OS used for all kind of person. Easy and simple. Google is a big company. Ok. North american, like McDonald's and other companies. Nothing wrong. The problem with google is his position in the market. Google is the number 1 in the world and, like microsoft in past, google breaks the market rules of free competition.
But, i don 't no. For a mortal man like me, it's hard to understand certain things. But ok, we spend our lives working hard for the things we want in life.
