Since October 2014..
« on: March 01, 2016, 12:06:26 pm »
PM5 is still rock solid on my Acer Aspire One 533.  ;D
This little netbook and distro combo has saved my bacon a few times when Microsoft Windows is concerned. (as well as the PM5 Live installation USB)

Tried installing PM5 and PM6 on an old HPG60 lappy but the Atheros AR5007 wifi was giving me a headache and never resolved it, so stuck to Win 7.
Having said that, PM5 or PM6 was miles quicker than windows 7 and would love to get this wifi issue sorted.. :-\

Thanks AndyinMokum,
will do once I have installed PM5 or 6 again on the HPG60 which is currently on Windows 10 as a test m/c, good grief, how I love removing the telemetry on it.. ;)

AFAIK that's an impossible task (?) .. and one that even attempting half cripples the OS  ::)

Pity really, because as far as Windows goes 10 would be the best one yet if it didn't report everything home.

I will get round to installing PM6 on the G60 at some point.
Yup and even if all the telemetry was neutered, ms would probably deactivate the offending windows 10 and render the OS useless.
OS as a service is not a good idea..ms has shot itself in the foot
<sorry, rant over> back on topic..
