A comment was made that I need that ram Module that I am having shipped. That does seem to be the case. Do you agree? Regards.

More RAM can never hurt, specially when you only have 1GB ;)

Edit: Also I don't know why it says stat failed.

It's saying that because swap isn't being activated on your system (probably because the UUID has changed for some reason), which is why "free -m" is saying you have ZERO total .. this is the reason Hibernate is failing, and it needs fixing.

Can you post the output from:
Code: [Select]
sudo fdisk -land
Code: [Select]
sudo blkidand
Code: [Select]
ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid/and the contents of
Code: [Select]
sudo gedit /etc/crypttab

You've now got two swap partitions there. I've never encrypted swap so I'll leave this one to the experts.

have you got 2 distros on here ?

We need to discover which of the 2 swap partitions is the Peppermint one .. probably the easiest way to do this would be to boot the OTHER distro and find which swap partition it's using by running
Code: [Select]
swapon -sremember that MUST be run from the OTHER distro .. then post the output here.

Unless of course you KNOW which of sda2 and sda10 is the Peppermint swap partition ?

I only have Peppermint on here. The smaller swap came from an old Hard drive config that I copied. I can't delete it without deleting the whole drive. I also don't think I can resize it. It is an extended partition. Can't both swaps be used here? If not I will delete smaller swap, I don't really need it.

Okay, now I'm baffled...

You say "the smaller one is in an extended partition", yet the one using least blocks (sda2) appears to be outside the extended partition  :-\

So which of sda2 and sda10 do you want to use as the swap partition ?

sda10 is the only one with the space. I just can do anything with sda2 with out deleting the whole drive. I thought I made that clear, sda10 is the only one that I can use if I can only have a single one. I still don't know why both can' be used.

maybe both can be used, I've never tried it .. but if it works it'll certainly be more complicated what with your use of both encryption and hibernation.

If you want to experiment, feel free .. otherwise, run:
Code: [Select]
sudo gedit /etc/crypttaband change the entry from:
Code: [Select]
cryptswap1 UUID=8f30a6d1-77c3-4e42-8d28-9aa0178fc6a9 /dev/urandom swap,cipher=aes-cbc-essiv:sha256to
Code: [Select]
cryptswap1 UUID=bf57c22d-4b01-4067-b3a4-3368e15d5ddc /dev/urandom swap,cipher=aes-cbc-essiv:sha256SAVE the file and exit gedit.

Now what's the output from:
Code: [Select]
sudo swapon -aand
Code: [Select]
free -m

Code: [Select]
administrator@SnappyPenquen ~ $ sudo swapon -a
[sudo] password for administrator:
administrator@SnappyPenquen ~ $ sudo swapon -a
administrator@SnappyPenquen ~ $ free -m
total       used       free     shared    buffers     cached

-/+ buffers/cache:        515        456
Swap:         4229          1       4228

That fixed the swap. We will see about the Suspend/ Hibernate. Regards
