it's more likely going to be some directory under

/home/perknh/.config

so what's the output from:

[T]here are a lot of people happily running Peppermint ICE which hasn't been receiving ANY updates for a while now .. and I personally would STILL consider that MUCH more secure than any version of Windows with up-to-date AV/Anti-malware ;)

Yep, there it is

/home/perknh/.config/iriduim

Wanna get rid of it for good, uninstall it, then delete that folder

Wanna set it back to defaults .. close it .. delete that folder .. reopen it (and that folder will get recreated with the default settings, like a clean install)

Me too, this Iridium browser seems to work very well.  The QWANT search engine is interesting.  It's definitely worth running for a week or two to get the feel of it  ;).
