It may be Firefox in Peppermint 9 .. we seem to change between Chromium and Firefox each release.

It's the one thing I seem totally indecisive about :-\

Personally I'm a Firefox user, but when we use Firefox we get a lot of requests to change to Chromium, when we use Chromium we get and equal number wanting Firefox ???

Whenever we've had a vote it turns out 50:50...

Trying to give people what they want is turning out to be problematic :))

I think firefox fits better to Peppermint, because it's lighter. Although P7 & P8 aren't that light (at least compared to P6).

But "sudo apt install firefox" isn't that hard to type ::). And theme, SSB, ... are there for firefox so not a big deal.

That would be just great  :D :D :D
But, if not... well, I can always change it!

Ok I installed firefox 54 and want to remove shockwave flash as it is version 13 in firefox so how do I go about doing so as I've tried using the terminal and synaptic and it shows to not be installed.

Click on the firefox menu button (top right) and click on "Add-ons" or type "about:addons" in your URL Bar.
Now klick on Plugins. You'll find Shockwave there.

Perhaps a solution might be to include both and let the user decide.

Is there a way to put an option in/after the installer for which browser gets installed at the end?

I've got Firefox, Chromium and Opera stable installed, all for different things. Yesterday I figured out how to install LibreOffice and OpenOffice side by side so I'm all for user decision  ;D

dpkg -l | grep flash
