Who cares what they call it?  HTML5 doesn't need a plugin.  Why would people install something they don't need?  Most people only have Flash because their browser told them they needed it to access content on a website.  Adobe needs to just entirely drop that piece of crap.

can't drop it because 99.9% of your games won't work without it...  that is the first thing my wife screams about when i redo her machine, she logs into facebook with her firefox, and if those games don't work she is yelling at me...   LOL   :P

Yeah, Facebook is extremely Flash dependent.  All of their games and any video posted to FB itself (not using an outside site like YouTube) won't work without Flash.

Only 3 years to wait then? But will sites just keep using it anyway?

It would be nice if they killed off Air while they're at it  ;)

I didn't mean French Band Air, I meant the "cross-platform" animation thing that they ditched on Linux. That was the reason that Samorost 3 wasn't available for Linux.

I have no use for flash... i don't play games of any sort... and I'm tired of seeing the yellow chrome/chromium pop-up...

Yeah, update the flashplayer by enabling the "Canonical Partners" repo .. then running a full system update.

Though it shouldn't be happening in Chrome :-\

I've never used Chrome... only Chromium... in order to avoid all the"phone home to Mountain View" bits  :-X... I'd just as soon never have flash installed anymore... just hate that yellow banner...   :-\
