Hi rjm65

Code: [Select]
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install grub-customizer
run each line separately

The Linux purists do not like grub-customizer as it has been known to cause problems.   However, in my Distro-hopping days, I don't recall it failing me once and I use it on Peppermint 6

Don't shoot the messenger if it goes pear shaped :)

zebedeeboss's solution may be the "easiest" .. personally I'd change the:-

GRUB_DEFAULT=0

line in:-

/etc/default/grub

then:-

sudo update-grub

Maybe not the "easiest" but definitely the most reliable (and correct) method as this MUST be what grub-customiser is doing anyway ;)

Thanks guys, I found my old text file with the grub customizer setup, and used it and arrowed up windows, and saved it, and got the results I was looking for... However i did copy down pcnetspec's commands to that file also, and will try it next time i run into this scenario...  thanks to you both...   :P

Can we update this for Peppermint 9??

To say make it default boot up Windows, would one just change the GRUB boot on Peppermint from  DEFAULT BOOT= sda,12   to =sda,3

You'd need to post the contents of
Code: [Select]
xed /boot/grub/grub.cfg
