Fun and lighthearted (continued)
« on: October 25, 2015, 07:35:55 am »
So I moved on to a more serious fun desktop for all you car lovers out there. I'm not that much into cars but think the photos from el-tony.com really make nice wallpapers.

I kept the red and dark theme since this is peppermint after all.
Wallpaper is from el-tony.com: http://www.el-tony.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/BMW-M5-Tuning-3D-Crystal-City-Car-2015-Orange-Neon-Effects-HD-Wallpapers-design-by-Tony-Kokhan-www.el-tony.com-image.jpg
Still using Numix circle icons from nooblab: http://www.noobslab.com/2014/04/install-numix-icon-packs-in-ubuntulinux.html

Panel tinted red with opacity set to 101.
This time I'm using the peppermix-dark theme throughout.

I also installed the conky manager from the instructions found here: http://www.teejeetech.in/p/conky-manager.html
The conky I'm using is called Computer Love / red.  Enjoy!

Very, very, nice, miker107.  You did a great job of keeping the Peppermint feel throughout your theming! :)
[T]here are a lot of people happily running Peppermint ICE which hasn't been receiving ANY updates for a while now .. and I personally would STILL consider that MUCH more secure than any version of Windows with up-to-date AV/Anti-malware ;)

I'm not a big fan of high tech looking desktops or side loading icons but I got to admit that looks sweet, well done :)
