Also, VinDSL, I never thought I'd see the words Microsoft and Trust in the same line!  ;D

Microsoft Azure Trust Center

[T]here are a lot of people happily running Peppermint ICE which hasn't been receiving ANY updates for a while now .. and I personally would STILL consider that MUCH more secure than any version of Windows with up-to-date AV/Anti-malware ;)

Maybe Microsoft and antitrust.  :P

Microsoft's positions regarding Linux seem to have softened a bit recently, I wonder if it has anything to do with Steve Ballmer stepping down.  He and Bill Gates seemed to be the driving force behind Microsoft's anit-Linux behavior.  That or they're trying to win cool points with the Linux community, maybe get some of the former Windows users back.  *shrugs*  Who knows?

Don't you believe it .. Microsoft are still Microsft, and are still at their embrace/extend/extinguish games .. they're now just doing it with a smile on their face, and the knife held behind their backs.

WoW ! Just WOW !!!  :o

I've spent the last few minutes clicking n' reading the links in that article - which lead to more links - all pertinent, timely, and to the point.

It's obvious, after studying these articles, that Microsoft has launched a well thought-out, full-scale, multi-pronged, covert action against the Linux World.

Their long-term strategy appears to be placing the Linux devs et al. on their payroll - actually anybody that knows anything about the underpinnings of Linux, e.g. the knowledge base - and kill Linux with kindness.

This is f***ing BIG, as Joe Biden would say !!!  It's the October Surprise...

EDIT 1

If you think I'm being delusional...   :P

Check this out (held in Peppermint's backyard):

EDIT 2

Just did a quick search for all jobs requiring Linux expertise @ Microsoft Careers (243 pages of results):

* And, yes, that really is Ubu Xenial Pre-Alpha (Unity).

Glass is nice, but...  when winders can do parlor tricks, I'll switch back...  LoL  :D

They tried for years to kill Linux from the outside and failed.....

Be 100% positive, Microsoft still hates Linux and open source .. it's still a MAJOR threat to their business model, why would they "love" it ?

Good luck with that !

I don't blame them for trying, but personally, I get that 'gag reflex' going every time I use winders; like trying to eat a piece of rotten meat, or smelling a bad fart on a crowded bus, you know?

I can't image working for them...
