wallpaper changer for Peppermint 6
« on: October 10, 2015, 01:50:31 pm »
I see threads for wallpaper changer code for Peppermint 5. Can I use the same code for Peppermint 6  and just change pcmanfm to nemo or is  there totally new code I need to use?

I spend most of my time in an openbox session so maybe I can  use the autostart  file?

NO, you cannot use instructions for a Peppermint 5 auto wallpaper changer in Peppermint 6

The desktop in Peppermint 6 is now controlled by the Nemo file manager, not PCManFM as in Peppermint 5

I tried variety before and really like it but this time around I want something lean and simple. I spend a lot of time in an openbox session and want to keep things light. Peter has done a great job with Variety and I would recommend it to anyone using a Linux distro.

One thing I am making a conscious effort in doing is using the terminal more as well as manually configuring config files. Sounds funny coming from a longtime Mac user 😀

Hi rmcellig,

Have you looked at my tutorial about a random wallpaper changer?
