Emmabuntus 3 1.02 Linux OS Officially Released, Based on Xubuntu 14.04.3 LTS

from Softpedia

I can't say I've ever tried Emmabuntu, but this Linux distribution seems to be based on a noble cause.  I see also that Emmabuntus has good taste --using only Xfce and LXDE desktop environments!  ;)

And, finally, a one year old review of Emmabuntus from Linuxed found at DistroWatch:

Never heard of it.  I've heard of Edubuntu, but not this one.

Hi scifidude79,

I've seen it over at DistroWatch, but I never paid any attention to Emmabuntus until today.  Right now I'm running Peppermint 6 and Xubuntu 14.04.3 --on which Emmabuntus 3 1.02 Linux OS is based.

Xubuntu has been so far the lightest and most practical distribution I've found, after Peppermint of course, that stays the closest to our philosophy of things --keeping things basic, practical, simple, and light.  Have you noticed, scifidude79, that I can't seem to get away from the Ubuntu family of distributions no matter how hard I try?  Could that be because these distributions actually work --and work very, very well?!! :)

By the way, when I've asked questions in the Xubuntu (Desktop Environments) part of Ubuntu's forum, I haven't been beat up, or flamed, over there yet.  (Same when I've asked a question months ago concerning Chromebooks.)  Could this mean I've now found the civilized section of Ubuntu's forum? :-\

Time will tell, but I hope so. ;)

I can't keep away from the Ubuntu family either, and I'm pretty much done trying.  ;)
