Hi sk_sarma,

It's a great American story --that's for sure.  New York is a great place.  The people are friendly, and the city can be a lot of fun.  I've always enjoyed myself whenever I've gone there.

And as for Peppermint forum, it sounds as if you and I both learn something whenever we come here.  Peppermint forum is my favorite place on the Web.  And even if I don't write anything, I always try to read something everyday from this forum.  I've even come across a quite a few nail biters, or suspense thrillers, from within this forum.  I often ask myself, "How will this thread turn out?" :o

Peppermint forum rocks --it really does! ;)

So very true. :) And the biggest thrill for me is when I find a thread asking the same question (or a problem) that I was gonna ask

1)  Yes, I agree that the "cloud stuff" causes people to think that Peppermint OS is a "cloud-only OS"; that delayed my testing it

With one person programming it all?  Yeah, that ain't happening.  Peppermint would need some more "hands on deck" for that approach.

2)  Hey, is there a "recovery plan" in place... in case (gasp) this one person gets hit by a bus?

YES .. the plan is to run around screaming, crying, and waving our arms :'( >:( :o :( :-\

In reality currently the answer is probably NO, we've just undergone a change of lead developer .. maybe Kendall could be tempted into returning maybe not .. but yeah having someone else that could take up the reins if necessary would be a good idea, so if you know anyone that "gets" the Peppermint ethos, has the correct skills, and is motivated.....

PCNetSpec, I thought you were the leader of our development team.  Is this different than being lead developer?  I know Kendall and Shane got this gem of a distribution rolling, but who is our lead developer now if not you?

Thank you,

perknh

By the way, I your lineup at the beginning of this post.  Couldn't those characters represent the five stages of life --which aren't always necessarily in order? ;D

Sorry perknh I should have realised this may have caused some confusion (with me obviously still running around screaming after having been hit by a bus) .. you're right, currently I'm the bus dodging lead dev in question ;)
