How to turn off transparency on "inactive" monitor (SOLVED)
« on: September 19, 2015, 11:30:35 pm »
Hello. When I first started using peppermint I thought it was actually kind of cool, but being that I used two monitors all the time for web development and pretty much everything else I have run into a problem with this. I will have multiple programs stacked on top of each other on the monitor I am not currently active on, while looking at the other. I turn my head slightly to read some of the code I am looking to modify on the inactive monitor, and it is nearly impossible to read because of what this is doing. How can I set this up so everything stays fully opaque even when I am on the other monitor?

Thank you.

menu > Preferences > Peppermint Control Center > Desktop Effects (tab)

remove the tick from "Enable desktop effects" .. or play with the sliders.

Got it, thanks for the tip. It is a cool effect for sure but when I need to use both monitors quite a bit I find it difficult to read the inactive monitor.
