I am, they open up to view and I can right-click and play one of them in either deadbeef or gmusicbrowser. I can probably scan the whole lot into its library again but it took ages so I was hoping to avoid that.

I did have to re-scan all the files in. It was looking for them somewhere in /usr/..bin which didn't even exist. I've rebooted and it finds them again. Thanks all.
