So what happens now if you run:
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get remove --purge my-weather-indicator
then
Code: [Select]
sudo rm -rv /opt/extras.ubuntu.com
then
Code: [Select]
sudo rm -rv ~/.config/my-weather-indicator
then
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install my-weather-indicator
Run all 4 commands, even if some of them fail .. then test

menu > Accessories > My-Weather-Indicator

Can you try to be more descriptive....

It doesn't show anything "on the desktop", it displays something in the system tray .. or are you saying it doesn't display anything in the system tray (or put more succinctly "it doesn't autostart") ?

nothing in the system tray and nothing on the desktop which i presume means it does not auto-start,i did tick in preferences to auto-start
it used to work fine with Peppermint 5
thank you.
