Quote from: EFF
More than a quarter of a million users have already installed the alpha and beta releases of Privacy Badger. The new Privacy Badger 1.0 includes blocking of certain kinds of super-cookies and browser fingerprinting—the latest ways that some parts of the online tracking industry try to follow Internet users from site to site.

Hi PCNetSpec,

According to their webpage it runs without problem alongside Ghostery. That's what I am doing ATM and it seems to work very well. They claim that together with Ghostery you have even better privacy.

They say that it is based on the AdBlock Plus engine. I removed AdBlock Plus and am currently using uBlock. Everthing is popping right along.

Regards,

Yes, but you can manually change which domains have been fully blocked (red) by moving the bar from the left to the center --which will block the cookies (yellow) but still let the advertisements through.  I figure if the domain isn't blocked, and the advertisements are coming through, Peppermint should get some revenue.  I even go one step further and click on the ads I like every now and then in order to customize them a bit.  I figure since I want to monetize Peppermint, I'll have to look at some advertisements; so I figure I might as well choose which advertisements I prefer to look at.

The advertisements in Peppermint aren't without their own charms, you know!*  ;)

*I'm talking about those good-looking computers that are on sale, of course!  ;D
[T]here are a lot of people happily running Peppermint ICE which hasn't been receiving ANY updates for a while now .. and I personally would STILL consider that MUCH more secure than any version of Windows with up-to-date AV/Anti-malware ;)
